I recently came across a book called “The Commissar Vanishes. The Falsification of Photographs and Art in Stalin`s Russia.” Upon viewing the cover, all I could think of was watching a nature special, where we discover a certain species of animal, that devours it other siblings until its the only one left.
Stalin it seems was one of the true Inventors of Photoshop Editing Unfortunately his twist on editing history aka “Taking Someone Out of the Picture.” was truly a gruesome and terrifying thing. Can't wait to fully check this book out to see how Stalin altered/tried to alter the perception of history by altering pictures.
